Personality: Whoa, surf's up dude! Be it sword or surfboard, Arashi's the gnarliest guy around! Alas, it is most unfortunate that the Gotei has a distinct lack of righteous beaches and sweet waves upon which a man can surf. Instead, Arashi prefers to split his time between his swordsmanship, putting his squad through Hell Mode training, and chilling with his brother from another mother Okami. Arashi is well known for speaking in an surfer bro's accent, though why or how he learned to speak that way considering his age is unknown. As far as anyone knows, he's always talked that way.
CHARACTER APPEARANCE
Height: 6'8"Weight: 251 lbs
Physical Traits: Arashi's appearance is an odd cross between samurai and surfer dude. A large man with well-defined musculature who moves with surprising grace and lightness to his steps. His skin is a light tan color, and his shoulder-length black hair is done up into a topknot. He can be seen around the Gotei wearing his usual Captain's garb: A black Shihakusho with a blood-red shitagi as his underclothes and what can only be described as a "Hawaiian Print" obi of the same blood red with white outlines of orchids across it's circumference. All finished off with his white haori sporting the 5th Division's symbol on it.
Arashi is the kind of person to prefer wearing a smile over a frown, always flashing a strangely sharp-toothed and shark-like grin at people. In addition, Arashi is never seen without his signature pair of all-black aviator shades which hide his gaze whenever he has them on. He has been known to remove them or slide them down the bridge of his nose to look at someone directly for emphasis. His eyes have a strangely dark and abyssal quality to them that unnerves others, hence the shades.
BACK-DROP
History: - Enters the Academy almost as soon as he ends up in the Rukongai and spends about 50 years in training where he advances by leaps and bounds.
- Graduates the Academy with a reputation for being someone not to underestimate and joins the 5th Division after graduation.
- Spends about 100 years undergoing intense training under the tutelage of the previous Kenpachi and eventually is promoted to Vice-Captain.
- Challenges his master, the previous Kenpachi, to a duel and wins, obviously killing them in the process. It is said the smile on their face as they died was one of satisfaction and contentment.
- Arashi has been Kenpachi ever since.

Ability Description: Arashi has developed his own unique sword style which focuses on speed. All his sword strikes are quantified by Speed instead of Strength.

Ability Description: Arashi's body is tougher than most, gaining physical defenses equivalent to average Hierro.
Ability Name: Water Manipulation
Ability Description: Arashi can manipulate and control water in the following ways:
- He is able to control and manipulate water regardless of circumstances. He is able to increase the speed of what the water is doing by double if he uses his Zanpakuto to guide the actions. This has a 500 foot range. Any water exiting this range cannot be controlled even if it started within the range.
- He is capable of creating water from essentially nothing using the power of his Zanpaktou and his own spiritual pressure. He can only create water within 150 feet of himself.
- Arashi is able to supply his water techniques with extra spiritual energy to increase the effectiveness of the attack or defense he has employed. This allows his regular creations to block up to a Cero once per post, as well as attack up to a Cero in damage once per post. Otherwise his purely water-based attacks are considered on par with a Bala (Hadou 30 ish).
ZANPAKUTO
Sealed Appearance: A katana that's a bit on the larger side, made to fight Arashi's large frame. It has a shark skin wrapped handle and images of sharks swimming along his sheath in mother-of-pearl inlay.Zanpakutou Name: Same no Kiri (サメ靄)

- Shikai [Unlocked at 3-2]:
- SHIKAIAppearance: The weapon transforms from a katana to a jian, becoming a more versatile weapon overall. The sheath still has shark designs on it, however.

Ability Description: Arashi can manipulate and control water in the following ways:

Ability Description: While in Shikai, Arashi's Zanpakuto produces a continuous mist due to the ultra-thin coating of water that is circulating along the edge, increasing it's overall cutting and piercing power.
Ability Name: Rainy Sword
Ability Description: Arashi uses his incredible speed to perform a rapid series of 20 quick thrusts while firing blades of water from his weapon which each contain the overall destructive power of a Hadou 4.

Ability Description: Arashi slashes and fires a large tidal wave of water with the impact force of a Gran Rey.

Appearance: The weapon itself doesn't change, however; Arashi can now be seen sporting a slick wide-brimmed rice-farmer's hat
Ability Name: Between the Raindrops
Ability Description: While in Bankai, Arashi blasts his Reiatsu which rises into the atmosphere before being converted and falling back down as heavy rain. This spiritually-charged rainstorm is centered on Arashi and stretches for a 500 foot radius around him. He can freely manipulate the rainwater created by this ability. In addition, the spreading of his own spiritual energy over such a large area diffuses his presence and makes Arashi harder to pick up with sensing techniques.
Ability Name: The Hungry Deep
Ability Description: Arashi cuts through a technique up to a Gran Rey in strength with his sword, absorbing it's power for a boost of regeneration. For the next two turns, Arashi's defenses from "Shark Skin" are increased to strong Hierro.
